Superb local vibe, friendly landlord, and amazing homemade food! The dartboard added a fun touch, and the soothing ambiance made it a memorable evening. Loved my bright room with en-suite too!
Nothing to criticize.

The room I had was cozy with lovely decor, bright enough to feel inviting. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. Dartmoor views added to the charm. Easy access to scenic walks made my stay enjoyable. the lighting on the stairs was poor, making it a bit tricky to navigate, especially at night. Breakfast arrangements were unclear. I couldn't find out when it started, and it seemed like it might be an inconvenience. I had a great meal at a nearby pub instead, which was a lucky find. the atmosphere in the pub area felt lively with local patrons, but it could have benefited from more staff presence during busy times. Despite the hiccups, it had a nice community vibe.

Charming decor and inviting ambiance by the fireplace.
Sadly, I was very disappointed to find the pub closed when I arrived around 3:30 on a Sunday. There was no clear information regarding opening times or dining options, which left me without a meal or drink after my long journey. The lack of staff presence made me feel neglected, especially since I was hoping to enjoy the local atmosphere and possibly order something to eat.

Cozy room with lovely decor. Clean bathroom adds a nice touch.
The lighting on the stairs could use improvement. it was quite dark. The pub was closed when I arrived, and I had no idea about breakfast times or menus, which made dining plans tricky. I ended up finding a better place to eat nearby instead.

Charming atmosphere with great views
I had a lovely stay with a super friendly welcome and enjoyed the bustling vibe of a local pub. The room was bright, comfortable, and had a nice view, making for an enjoyable evening after a scenic walk. I found it disappointing that the pub was closed when we arrived, leaving us without quick dining options.
